Full list of the 10 cards being auctioned.

Wayne Gretzky – 1981-82 Topps 16

This is the third year hockey card for Gretzky. The card is valued at $20 and is the most valuable in the 1981-82 Topps set. The complete collection of 198 cards is valued at $70. The value of the card is a far cry from the nearly $1000 that his 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee rookie card can fetch.

After a year with the Indianapolis Racers and Edmonton Oilers in the World Hockey Association in 1978-79, Wayne embarked on the greatest National Hockey League career that the league will probably ever see.

Gretzky played in the NHL from 1979-80 to 1998-99 with the Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers. He played 1,487 regular season games, scoring 894 goals and assisting on 1,963 for 2,857 points. He added another 382 points on 122 goals and 260 assists in 208 playoff games.

Over his career, Gretzky won the Hart Memorial Trophy on nine occasions. He led the league in scoring ten times, earning the Art Ross Trophy more times than any other player in NHL history. In 1999, Gretzky was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
